Facebook Like Locker plugin is a great solution for website promotion via Facebook. With Facebook Like Locker plugin you can hide part of your content (for example, download links or other important information) from users. User must like your page on Facebook to view hidden content.
You know, Facebook has over 800 millions of registered users. And they estimate to get one billion by the middle of 2012. So it’s a second most visited website in the world. Could you imagine more successful spot for your website promotion? Facebook Like Locker plugin will help to add thousands of fans to your WordPress site on Facebook. More fans is more traffic.
The plugin allows you to wrap part of your post/page in a “Facebook Like Locker” that will require the user to like the post/page to view the full content!
How it works
Below you can see how the plugin works. I have some interesting information, but it’s hidden for you until you like this page. To view full content just click “I like it” in the box below. 🙂
[fblikelocker]
This content was hidden. It is visble for users who liked this page on Facebook.
You can place any content here…
If you don’t like this page, you see locker box (like below) instead of this text:
[/fblikelocker]
How to use Facebook Like Locker plugin
1. Install the plugin. It is installed as any WordPress plugin.
2. Now you can wrap any “secret” content with shortcodes [fblikelocker] … [/fblikelocker].
Please check out several examples below:
[fblikelocker]
This content is hidden. It is visble for users who liked this page on Facebook.
[/fblikelocker]
[fblikelocker message=”Type any message here to replace default message by yours!”]

[/fblikelocker]
You also can use special button with your WYSIWYG-editor (screenshot below) to insert Facebook Like Locker shortcode.

Hy. I have some problems with a Facebook Like Locker plugin. The post thumbnail image does not appear on facebook wall.
Thanks for purchasing the plugin.
Plugin doesn’t send any data to facebook. Facebook takes images from your website by himself. If you want to say to facebook to take particular image, it is necessary to add Open Graph meta tags for that.
Please let me know URL of webpage where you use Facebook Like Locker.
I tried it on this page: http://urbanheroes.ro/home/category/genre/electro/
It doesn’t have Open Graph meta tags, so facebook can’t take the image to publish it on the wall. Facebook also can’t take image which is locked behind the plugin (like on page above), because it can’t see this image. 🙂

How can i add open graph meta tags?
You have to modify header of your theme, or you can use any of third-party plugins. For example: http://www.icprojects.net/open-graph-meta.html
Thx! I resolve it.It’s that possible to change the php code in that way to work as a facebook page like button?
I’m sorry I didn’t catch what you mean. Please explain.
I would like that the like button to add a like to tha facebook fan page and not to the post. it’s this possible to change the php code in such a manner?
Ah. Now I understand what you mean. Sorry, but I can’t help you with this. I have no time to do that. Sorry.
What if people have already liked it – it doesn’t appear to be showing the content – just a disabled ‘like’ button. Is there a fix I throw in for that?
Hi Paul. The plugin always use unique URL by adding fragments line “#XXXXX” at the end of URL. For example: http://www.icprojects.net/facebook-like-locker.html#12345, http://www.icprojects.net/facebook-like-locker.html#67890, http://www.icprojects.net/facebook-like-locker.html#13468, etc. So, for Facebook these are different unique URLs, that you never liked before. WordPress ignores fragments, so no problems with them. 🙂
Hi! Great plugin! Will the hidden content be visible in the source code of the page? (I’d like it to be, for seo reasons).
No. It is not visible.
